5 Things Motorcycle Riders (Should) Learn From Riding the Can-Am Spyder

06.03.07 | (Leave A Comment)

Things this motorcycle rider learned (the hard way) on my Can-Am Spyder test ride:

  • The Spyder doesn’t counter-steer. Pushing on the bars will not only upset you, it will upset the Spyder.
  • The Spyder  doesn’t lean in a corner. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Leaning to the inside will help alleviate that foreign feeling called centrifugal force.
  • Pick up your feet. I know, you put them down out of habit. You don’t have to on a Spyder.
  • The signals are self-cancelling.
  • No matter how many times you reach for it, there is no front brake lever.
